8″x8″ lay-down baseplate designed for use on 3″x3″ and 4″x 4″ gooseneck pedestals. This base plate is designed to lay down and hinge away from the mounting plate in the event that a significant lateral force is applied to the gooseneck pedestal. The nylon bolts and nuts that hold the two plates together are designed to shear, thus leaving the rest of the pedestal with minimal damage.
