BD-LG2 is a two-component polyurethane, winter grade detector loop sealant. Designed for use in both asphalt and concrete pavement, BD-LG2 provides a weather and chemical resistant waterproof seal. It is designed for sealing loops in cold or freezing temperatures and exhibits exceptional chemical resistance to de-icing salts (including 50% by weight potassium acetate), gasoline, hydraulic brake fluid and motor oil. BD-LG2 forms a tough and durable seal that effectively seals out moisture.

Uses
BD-LG2 two-part polyurethane loop sealant is primarily used as a fast cure, protective seal for induction loops/traffic detector wire loops employed in actuated intersections. It may be used as a sealant for saw cuts in concrete and asphalt surfaces.
Curing
BD-LG2 will quickly gel in only 8 – 15 minutes at 77°F (25°C) and even cures in cold and freezing applications. In freezing temperatures, BD-LG2 gels in just two hours! BD-LG2 even permits vehicular traffic immediately after application so there is no need for lane closure. See the chart below for curing times.
